James Perse does the heavy lifting — cotton so good it doesn't need help. The Vans keep it grounded. The Dealans carry over from Outfit 01, because good frames go with everything.

Kato denim is the laid-back counterpart to raw selvedge — softer hand, easier fit, still intentional. The Explorer II does what a great watch always does: says everything without saying anything. The skull cap is the one wild card — and it earns it.

01 — The Brands

Labels I return to

001
Ralph Lauren
Luxury / Heritage

The definitive American dream translated into cloth. From Purple Label suiting to faded polos — a universe of aspiration built over five decades.

002
James Perse
Luxury / California

Los Angeles refined. Supima cotton that feels like a second skin. The rare brand where effortlessness is the product, not a byproduct.

003
Alden Shoes
Indie / Heritage Craft

Brockton, Massachusetts since 1884. Shell cordovan that ages into something personal. Shoes built to outlast trends by generations.

004
Jacques Marie Mage
Indie / Niche Luxury

Eyewear as objet d'art. Each frame a numbered edition — acetate sourced, hand-finished, worn by the few who know. The most interesting thing on any face.

005
Japanese Denim
Indie / Craft

Oni, Samurai, The Strike Gold — shuttle-loom selvedge that fades into a map of your life. The slow fashion that rewards patience and wear.

006
Malbon Golf
Streetwear / Culture

Golf without the stuffiness. Bucket hats, clean colourways, and a community of people who care equally about the fit and the fairway.

007
RRL
Heritage / Americana

Ralph Lauren's most obsessive line. Vintage-inspired workwear and Western details executed with a level of authenticity that borders on archaeological. The belt says it all.

008
Rolex
Luxury / Instrument

The Explorer II is a tool watch that became an icon without trying to. Oystersteel, 42mm, the GMT hand. Worn on a denim wrist, it looks exactly right.

Why I buy what I buy

Uniforme is a record of what I actually wear — built slowly across heritage American labels, Japanese craft, California ease, and a little golf culture. The uniform is simple: Japanese selvedge denim, a white oxford, Alden loafers in shell cordovan. Everything else orbits around it. A wardrobe built on conviction, not options. Things that get better with time.
